I prayed that I wouldn't need cataract surgery, and now I'm glad that I had the surgery in August 2023. The colors in this world of ours look so much brighter that I now would pray for the cataract surgery. God does things in His way, rather than in my way. There have been so many miracles in my life. Life with God by my side all the time is a miracle.

There are two prayer poems in Paw Learning Mazes: "Praying for Animals" (pages 43-47) and "Birds Praying for People" (pages 49-53). Here's the beginning of the "Birds Praying for People" poem on page 49: Mary and Joe were both on a vacation when they saw a stranger who had frustration about his homeless life, hunger for ice cream, tired feet, and need for a warm place to daydream. The stranger was praying while some birds did talk near the Museum of the Bible's sidewalk; Mary and Joe walked closer to hear the words being said by the man and by the sweet birds. The Easter poem in Amazing Holiday Paws begins on page 64 with these four stanzas: The armoire’s form was wooden, strong, and tall while holding drawers with jewelry to enthrall; two anxious hands did try to swiftly find some earrings to wear with Easter in mind. “My cross earrings aren’t here, which really is weird. Could they possibly have just disappeared, like Jesus did years ago on Easter day when He didn’t with death in a tomb stay?” “I’ve seen so many miracles in our world; your golden earrings could have somewhere whirled, but perhaps they’re in a tough place to find because you have so much jewelry entwined.” "I'm thankful for all of the things we own, and I love wearing earrings so well known as being symbols of Christ's sacrifice, which saved us by paying for our sinful vice." Like a lot of my writing, this poem is partially based on my own reality. I sometimes cannot find the earrings that I want because I have so much jewelry in such small places. I'm really thankful for having a lot of jewelry to choose from. Unhidden Pilgrims has a lot of Christian content. One of the chapters is titled "The Strength of Faith." In this chapter, while Heidi (the protagonist) is dreaming, she talks to The National Monument to the Forefathers (page 309). The last chapter in this novel is "Heavenly Connections." Many of the characters in this chapter connect to each other in a very positive way. I love Christmas because of the birth of my Lord and Savior: Jesus Christ. I also love Christmas because many strangers try to treat each other in a more positive way than usual. Every morning, I open one of my bibles and read a bible verse. Here is one of my favorite bible verses: "Finally, beloved, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is pleasing, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence and if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things" (Philippians 4: 8 NRSV). I know life can be difficult. Whenever I'm stuck in traffic, I try not to think about the traffic situation. If my car cannot move forward, I instead look around and am thankful for the nice scenery. I also sometimes just look at the cars and trucks while thinking about which one(s) I like the best. While traffic situations and redlights seem to last for a long time, I also will look at my car's clock and realize that only one or two minutes have elapsed. I also will be thankful for the extra minute or more that I will be spending in my car, listening to music while looking at beautiful scenery. Like I posted last year for this blog on Easter Sunday, I'm still washing my hands while singing three times: "Happy Easter to you, Happy Easter to you, Happy Easter to Jesus, Happy Easter to you." With my hands coming together, I'm also often praying while washing my hands. I'm very thankful that I now have had both doses of a COVID-19 vaccination. I'm also praying often for our world to have a quick recovery from this pandemic. Christmas is one of my favorite holidays. I often think of the idea of love and how it's connected to God. His love for humanity is evident in the life and sacrifice of his son Jesus Christ. I took the photo in this blog posting in January 2020 when I visited the Museum of the Bible in Washington, D.C. The statue was created by Timothy Schmalz, is called Maternal Bond, and illustrates the love of a mother for her son in a nativity scene. Especially on Christmas, I'm so thankful to be able to also feel love for my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. My prayers often thank God for the whole feeling of love for himself, my family, and my friends. I love Thanksgiving because it makes me think about how I am thankful for so much in my life. Here is one of my poems. Its title is "A Thankful Prayer on Thanksgiving (Fourth Thursday of November)," and it is on pages 151-52 of Amazing Holiday Paws: Dear Lord, I’m thankful, Lord, for your help in my life. Especially when I’m encountering strife and praying for your helpful, loving care, many miracles do happen every year. These miracles happen in the ways you think are best to make my problems shrink, so my blessed life improves even more with each solution you bring to my door. Doing my shopping last night was not a chore. I found long lines at the grocery store, but was really thankful to see lots of food being bought by people in multitude. When loving my family while we’re meeting on Thanksgiving Day for fun while eating, we all are happy to have relaxing time to spend with each other, which is sublime. Our dogs are yelping now for more good food, and our cats are all in a turkey mood; we’re thankful to spend some additional time with loving pets that into our laps do climb. We love the bible’s words that help us each day to connect to you every time when we pray; we try to understand your suggested ways to enhance our journeys with peace always. “Do not worry about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus” (Phil. 4:6-7 NRSV). Thank you, Lord, for giving each of us a life, for forgiving us for errors in strife, for giving us so much inside our lives, and for uplifting us forever when eternity arrives. In Jesus’s name, we pray to you today and each day, Amen. On January 6, 2020, I loved my trip to the Museum of the Bible in Washington, D.C. I learned some information about the history of religion while looking at many beautiful paintings, exhibits, statues, stained-glass windows, displays, and examples of bibles. In Amazing Holiday Paws, the poem "Choosing Photos on National Photo Day (Second Sunday of March)" references a photo of Jesus that was taken while a family was visiting the Museum of the Bible. During my own visit to this museum, I obviously took many photos of indoor exhibits; I also loved taking photos of the outside of this museum. My reality is often directly connected in one or more specific ways to the content of my writing.
